It is a 16 hour first aid course that includes CPR training and automated external defibrillator (AED) training. At some locations candidates can opt for Standard first aid with CPR “HCP” instead of CPR “C”. Re-certifications are available for standard first aid courses. Emergency first aid and CPR “A” is another popular first aid and CPR course. Candidates in this 8 hour first aid course learn basic rescue techniques for adult victims.  At some locations candidates can opt for a higher level emergency first aid with CPR “C”. Renewal courses are available for emergency first aid and CPR. St Mark James also offers its own program for childcare and daycare workers. These courses are emergency childcare first aid and standard childcare first aid. Both courses are very similar to both emergency and standard first aid. Re-certs are not available for childcare first aid courses.
